This theater is very cute and definitely makes my 2 year old (as well as myself) feel as if we are on stage. It was relatively easy to set up for my husband but not just a 'pop up' and play structure. It is nothing more than fabric and dowel rods, which is why i would NEVER spend the [$] as advertised. My mom and dad purchased this for their grandson for Christmas...which goes to say that is the reason we have it. As i mentioned, it is adorable and my son loves it. I like the fact that it encourages pretend play and when we put on a puppet show, i lead with a plot and he has to think about what he wants to add to it. Although we have added our own puppets and props. It is rather large so make sure you have proper space in your house.I do like the fact that they utilized each side of the theater. One side is the stage that is compatible for a performance or a puppet show and has a pocket to insert the names of the stars of the show. One side is the snack stand with pictures of refreshements and little pockets to place 'prices'. One side is the ticket booth with a pocket to insert the name of the performance and a clock to set the time that the performance will begin. One side is the dressing room complete with a reflective mirror and picture of a vanity. The set comes with the following: Puppets - 3 low-quality pieces of fabric sewn together...a princess, prince & dragon Backdrop & Puppet Stage - Fair-quality large pieces of fabric that are fairly easy to attach to the theater Script - cute idea to help generate a plot Costume Ideas - useful Play Tickets - 15-20 paper tickets off a role at the factory (you can make better ones yourself)

This was a BD gift for our 6-year old granddaughter. She loves to perform and has always used a small table as her stage.
The item looked like nothing in the small trunk it came in, but our son assembled the poles and fabric into a stage with curtains, dressing room, ticket booth and refreshment stand, before the granddads came back from the store with breakfast. The BD girl's 8-year old big sister managed and directed, while the BD girl performed. They sold tickets and refreshments and surprised us with a puppet show at the very end.
Parents, grandparents and little sister enjoyed the show from the audience. I highly recommend it.
